Looking Back at 2016

Phew.

What a year it’s been. When you freelance, your life oftentimes feels like a blur of work and personal time, staying up too late and sleeping in too much, too many deadlines contrasted with too much idle time. It’s hard to ever really set a “schedule” when your time is demanded inside normal business hours and out. And in the middle of all the chaos, you decided it was a good idea to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro.

It was, in fact, a good idea.

Adventure aside, 2016 brought some good cheer my way:
My logo design for Nicole Baas Photography took home an American Graphic Design Award for best in logo design (!).

2016 was also the year of big web refreshes for some amazing clients:
Longtime client G2 Capital Advisors got a brand new site

Sonja Haviland Design is launching shortly after the New Year

As is Moss and Blue, a collection of beautiful abstract paintings based here in Boston

2016 also had me venturing into apparel design with my custom T for Wears Woody – currently being sold in their shop on Newbury Street(!)

My plans for 2017? All of the above…and more. I’m feeling 2017 as the year of fresh perspective, rediscovered passion and renewed excitement for design. Stay tuned here for a fully updated portfolio, including some new work to be posted!

Happy New Year to you – thank you for your continued support, and cheers to 2017!
