I wanted to share an artist with you today that I’ve long obsessed over. Daniel Egnéus is a Milan-based artist & illustrator with an incredible career. I’m sure we’ve all seen his work in books and magazines along the way. I’m in love, and I don’t care who knows it.
Egnéus was born in Sweden and has lived throughout Europe during his career. You can see how the continent, with it’s rich and ornate history, inspires his work.
This video gives you a behind-the-scenes look at the making of one of his books, “Little Red Riding Hood”. It’s a fascinating look into the how & why behind the artwork.
I may just be ordering a copy of this book for my upcoming birthday.
